Byrd Regional Hospital

I was sent her for pre term labor, everyone was nice, except the catheter they used was too thick. They need to invest in the thinner catheter tubes. I had to have that thing in for two days after they had to send me to a higher level of care. I’ve had other catheters before, the one they used must be a cheaper one.

Worst hospital I have ever seen and visited, do yourself and your family a favor and avoid this ER AT ALL COST, Erica the nurse in the ER is rude, terrible bedside manner, and honesty shouldn’t even be a Nurse. Go to a better hospital, this one is not worth the stop

I’ve been to their ER a couple times and those visits weren’t bad. But a friend of mine recently delivered there and had one of the worst experiences. The nurses weren’t helpful at all, and her L&D nurse was rude. It’s not my place to go into further detail, but everything I’ve heard I would not recommend going here.

I had a surgical procedure recently at Byrd Regional Hospital and couldn't have had a better experience anywhere. The OR nurses, surgeon, and anesthetist were top notch! they were knowledgeable, courteous, and caring. I will definitely use them again if the opportunity arises. Thanks!

I recently went to the hospital tonight well early morning. For the first time I was treated like a human! I often have to go to er due to having medullary sponge kidneys which produces loads of stones. Most doctors just brush me off thinking im seeking drugs when in reality I just want my kidneys to be fixed I understand its a er and they can not do that. But from the moment I entered well checked in at the door the man was really nice and caring, miss Amanda at the desk was also so sweet she always is and she tries her best to do what she can to make sure you get back fast and always lets you know what's going on . Triage guy was very nice also wasnt just rushing you actually listened to what you said.. When I entered room 3 Miss Stacey was my nurse and I have to stay she is the best nurse I have every had there!! Not only did she help me claim my breathing down and answer any question I had, she kept me updated and checked on me several times a few of them she didn't leave until I was comfortable can tell she has a beautiful heart bc it shows in her work! Then Dr. Esuabana came in ask me what was going on and did a exam he went straight to work labs urine unfortunately due to hurricane cat scan machine was down but that didnt stop him from doing a x-ray. Even ask me to return tomorrow to get a x-ray done.. He made sure my pain level was under control and gave me great advice. Bryd yall need more doctors and nurses like them. They made me feel I was a patient instead of oh no its her again .. I am very grateful for that.. I would highly recommend them!
