The store was supposed to close at 6 pm. I got it confused with another place that I’d looked up online. I sat in over an hour’s worth of traffic to get to it, and when I got there saw that it said they closed at 6 pm M-F on the door. I still had 20-something minutes when I got there. I saw a blond woman at the desk when I came in and I said, “I thought you all closed at 8 pm on your website. Now I see you close at 6.” She said, “That’s wrong , and actually I have to leave in 10 minutes.” I just sat in over an hour’s worth of traffic to get to this store and that really ticked me off. So I turned around to walk out, because I can’t decide on a pair of expensive shoes in 10 minutes. She goes, “Ma’am!” I just walked out the door because, frankly, I didn’t care what she had to say. I was mad enough at that point, but she continued to follow me out the door to inform me that they’ve never been open till 8 pm. I just got into my car. I will never return to this store.
Carol and Laura were very helpful. We were from out of town and in Louisville for Bourbon and Beyond. We heard the weather was going to be pretty rough and we didn't have any rain boots. I called and spoke to Carol who was very nice. She answered all my questions and even asked for the sizes we needed. I told her we were walking form the hotel and she provided directions. When we got there, she has one of every style in the size we needed waiting on us. Also, the prices were fantastic. We bought two pair and had dry feet all night in the extreme muck and mud of Bourbon and Beyond. Big thanks to Carol and Laura!!
Great customer service and they had exactly what i was looking for!!nnLinda (and Dan) helped me find the perfect sandals. I have been looking EVERYWHERE, but couldn't find them until I visited SAS. Their prices are a little higher than a discount store, but the shoes are high quality and made in he US, so it is worth it for me.
Please get another decorator!!! You could have so many more customers! Okay I used to live in Houston and there was a SAS store next to the Fire House Subs and it has the creepiest old dolls and really old rocking chairs in the window. I just thought that manager must be very strange...well when I went into this SAS with my friend...as I walked in the back.of the store it looked like someone was cleaning out their grandmother's attic. I asked the sales person about the old stuff ..he said they want to show that they still make shoes the old fashioned way.nNooooo...there are a lot better ways than old cracker boxes and old dolls.nThey even had awesome posters that show them making the shoes by hand. Put those in the window.nOkay, but I must say my friend loves his shoes..the most comfortable ones he has had.nNo get rid of the old dusty stuff.
They have a somewhat limited selection, but the shoes are very good quality. They staff is very knowledgeable and worked hard to help me get just the right fit. I've never owned such comfortable shoes. The prices are a little on the higher side, but totally worth it!
