Joan and Liam were extremely helpful with assisting my son in picking out a long board and wheels. Joan greeted us right away to see if we needed anything, explained the different features of the boards, and gave some helpful feedback on the best way to ride the board. Liam happily answered questions about the different wheels and how various hardness affects the ability to do tricks. I walked away more knowledgeable about skateboarding in general and my son walked away a happy birthday kid! We love supporting small businesses in Fairfax and we love the Fairfax Surf Shop!

This local shop is a must for any skater or aspiring skater. They are extremely helpful and will set everything up for you right there. They have a great selection of decks, wheels, and everything else you would need. If you skate in northern virginia you should visit this shop.

The best selection. The most Professional staff. The last few times I've been in the shop, I've seen parents and their kids getting free skate lessons from the employees; spending time with the kids to show them how to ride, and helping the parents understand what equipment will help their kid succeed and ride safely.nnThe shop has a combined half century of skateboarding experience. They know what they're doing. They've used skateboarding to raise money for Children's Hospital, provide lessons to the community, and continue to be the absolute skateboard and snowboard authority in Northern VA.
