While visiting the Virginia Tech campus, my family and I had an opportunity to visit El Rodeo based on a recommendation. It was everything we'd been told, with great food and fantastic service. Definitely recommend!

My husband and I went for their soft quarantine opening tonight, and we were so impressed. The food was amazing and everyone (even other customers) were following social distancing protocols. All of the staff were wearing masks, tables were placed a good distance apart, and everyone was just so nice. We never felt unsafe, but wanted to eat a little faster than usual so others could enjoy (as they don't have many tables outside). Highly recommend if you are looking to get out of the house for a place to eat. Thank you, El Rod's!

El Rods is famous for its huge margaritas and generous portions of food. They have a heated patio area for COVID compliance but the seating there can get awkward in large groups. I saw a waiter spill not one, but two full trays of margaritas on someone.nnThis is a classic college restaurant, and is usually students’ first stop before getting drunk at other downtown bars. Fill up on food here, but I recommend you drink elsewhere.

Great place to eat. I live close by and they have amazing food. I always get the nachos and sometimes ill order a steak. Super friendly people and they really fast. If you order online, by the time you get there it will be ready. I highly recommend this restaurant!
