After visiting the ER twice i was informed that they had found a mass in my uturus. They advised me to go see a OBGYN asap recommended within 5 days. They scheduled me 9 days out. On the day of my appt Dr. Cherian acted as though i had no reason to be alarmed or even in pain. My daughter & I left with more questions than answers. He kept rudely telling us to just calm down that he needed to think about this because at my age a 2cm sized mass shouldnt be bothering me. Mind u I had been in pain non stop for 4 weeks at that point. So we left being told he would have the surgical team get intouch with us and to just hang tight. Well a week later i decided to call back and was told he had dropped the ball and had done nothing or referred me to anyone. No notes on my record. Frustrated i requested that my primary doctor refer me to UVA. A few appointments later i was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. They had found a 5cm sized mass and thank God turned out to all be benign. So what exactly was he examining that day?!?! It was a 2cm sized cyst I have had for 20+ years. And refused to listen to me or my daughter. Thanks Dr. Cherian for wasting my time and being the most lousy excuse for a doctor. Felt like I had the janitorial service. Would strongly suggest anyone being treated by him to find other healthcare.
