During my first visit to the shop I brought a rather expensive wheel hoping to have new sealed bearings ordered for it. Mr. Burris seemed very knowledgeable and had the bearings in stock. After a short time I received a text saying the wheel was ready.

I had a really nice experience buying a new mountain bike from Black Dog Bikes. They are one of the few shops in the region that carry Rocky Mountain Bikes, an awesome Canadian bike company that specializes in mountain bikes. They helped me fit the bike by extending the stem and saddle distance, made my wheels tubeless, and adjusted my shocks. They gave me a fair price, good customer service, and a cool free T-shirt. This is a great little bike shop in a small town. I thought it was worth the hour drive to get there.

Serious about repairs. Excellant selection of quality bikes. Very friendly along with the necessary expertise. Only bike shop in Staunton to use. Also knows good routes to take best advantage of the amazing choice of cycle routes available in our rural countryside where your biggest concern is slow farm tractors.
