Crab Du Jour Cajun Seafood & Bar

We never noticed this place tucked to the side of Texas Roadhouse. When we stopped at Texas Roadhouse last night at 7 there was a 2 hour wait. We left to find something else and noticed this restaurant. We love seafood and decided it was definitely worth a try.nnWe were not disappointed. The wait was only about 10 minutes. The staff was friendly and waitress, Keri, explained everything well. Shw checked in but didn't hover, the perfect combo. We picked what we wanted and it was not a long wait for it to arrive.nnThe food was pretty great. It was a tad overcooked for us but we are from the coast and have been eating seafood for decades so we know how to get it just right. Most people probably wouldn't notice. They need to shave 5 minutes off the steam time to avoid the shrimp and crab taking on the tougher texture. It should be plump and soft, not firm.nnGiven that, it was still delicious and we loved it. It is our new favorite place for date night.

Crab po boy had nothing but lettuce on it basically. Hardly any crab, no visible sauce or mayo. Nothing like the pictures shown on here, or the on the menu. Felt ripped off. Got my bill and waitress seemed to have an attitude when I said yes, I would like my change back. I guess she wanted that $7.71 as a tip seeing there was only one other person in there. Only brought me back 7$, so I guess we both decided at that point she was settled on the .71$ being what she got. First visit, and will never go back or bring anyone else for that matter. I can see why there was no one there. Wont be in business for long treating people like this. I would seriously consider taking your money elsewhere, especially with the prices charged for some of the boil bags and such, not worth the risk.

Awesome service (Jamie lee was our waitress/ restaurant manager)! Fantastic, great tasting food! And, nice atmosphere! We were visiting from out of town! And, we will be back to enjoy the great food at Crab Du Jour!!!

Get here early. Place gets crowded. Why? Because the food is excellent! Service was courteous and professional, plus the design/feel of the dining area is modern and clean. Will definitely be back.

Finally Lynchburg has an amazing seafood restaurant! The food was soooooo good! The waitress was awesome. I love that she did not linger but still made sure we were good. She also never popped up when our mouths were full. I think her name was Amara. Much love to her!
