I was really disappointed in this place to be honest. I was sick, and my regular primary care physician won't see people who have a fever or any symptoms of COVID-19. I understand that, and agree with everything, what was so disappointing was the fact that I waited 2 and half hours to go inside, and another hour inside the building. They tested me, and the physician that seen to me was downright rude, kept opening the door to the room midway through my appointment to yell answers and instructions to the other staff. She might as well have just left the door open, not like I had any privacy the way she was doing it anyway. She refused to give me antibiotics until the COVID-19 test was back, and I asked again, and she made someone else come in and right me the prescription.nI understand that these are challenging times, but a little kindness and customer service go a long way, especially in the health care industry.

We did get in to see a NP quickly for a sore throat. They did a strep test and a covid 19 test....no results 24 hours later. No antibiotic ex for the sore red throat. Can't get any info at the supposed web site. What a waste of time!

I called ahead to check wait times and see if I'd be seen and given an antibiotic for my sinus infection as well as given a covid test. Yes was the answer from receptionist. It was more convenient than going to AMC so I went at 1020am. .Sat there 3 hours to get a Covid test done and not checked at all for sinuses or even asked. I am extremely displeased with this. My whole day shot for nothing. Really.

We arrived at the urgent center in Staunton around 6:50 pm and the doors were locked. I called and someone answered and I told her my daughter I had outside had pus and stuff draining profusely out of her ear and I think she has an ear infection and she said so you are outside now? I replied yes, and she put me on hold. She came back on the phone and said that the provider said it was outside of their hours and that I needed to call her pediatrician. I told her that the door in front of me says they are open until 7. She replied that the provider had told her she wouldn’t see anyone else because it was “too close” to 7. If you have an emergency or a medical issue that can’t wait, don’t count on these people to do their job within their practice hours to be there to help you. Call first. Such a shame and disappointed in this office’s ethical structure. (Any place taking care of emergency medical issues should NEVER deny patients in need of medical care that have made a trip to get their help, during THEIR HOURS of available operation.) I will make the OBVIOUS suggestion to the providers here that if you do not want to help patients who arrive within your open hours, then change your open hours! I mean seriously! My daughter truly needed your immediate care!
