This is by far the BEST VA Clinic around!!! I love walking in the door for an appointment & seeing Belinda’s smiling face. I absolutely adore her. She’s NOT just your average VA Clinic Administrative Specialist. She’s known me for the last 9 years; & knows my life story. She’s actually gotten to know me over the years & can tell you my exes lady named & jobs I’ve had. LOL.nMy favorite RN is Gary Cook, whom I’ve known for years. He ALWAYS goes above & beyond to help you with your needs. Wendy Wyant has ALWAYS been my favorite Nurse in the CA Clinic, I was sad to see her change positions within the VA. My Grandfather who was an Army Veteran absolutely adored Wendy & she was so good with him. Dr. Gerald Brown; who recently retired, was the absolute BEST Psych Doctor I’ve EVER had in my entire life honestly. Dr. Brown didn’t just renew your Meds & hurry you out the door like most Psychiatrists/Psychologists, he actually took the time to sit there & listen to what you wanted to say, and how you were feeling. Dr. Brown honestly knows me better than anyone, even people who are close to me; that’s because he was he the only person who actually listened to what I had to say & I felt comfortable telling him anything. He is the only person who truly knows my Life History lol. He should know me so well though, because he’s been my doctor since 2009. I was sad to see him retire, because there will NEVER be another doctor as great as him, no one will EVER be able to replace him.

I don't use the CBOC as often as some veterans do but each time I am there the staff are very friendly, they help me with my issues and gets in and out a lot quicker than most doctors offices do.nnI truly feel that they care about their veterans and our well being as well, plus many of there are veterans themselves.nnThank You for all that you do!

Very welcoming medical staff. Had my first appointment recently and I was very impressed with how friendly everyone was. The doctor took his time, did not rush the exam and actually listened to me . It was a drastic difference from what I had expected.

I walk in for the very first time being new to Virginia and the first person I approached at the staunton VA HOSPITAL (cboc)WAS rude she never said a word to me when I approached her window she was on the phone but from what I could see n hear she wasnt talking to anyone and she was clipping her finger nails I stood there for several seconds n she never uttered a word i.e... I'm not open or the ladies at the next window can help you if I had the choice to go to another VA hospital or cboc i would just off her nasty mannerisms. The two ladies on the left of her was very pleasant and helpful. This occurred on April 23, 2018

The Staunton CBOC is a nightmare to go to for medical help and it seems they can't get any doctor to work there...they have none. The worst doctors I have ever met worked there and the one really good one they had quit. Seems oversight from Salem is part of their failure to perform.
