Resort at Cavanaugh's

Ever since they reopened a couple years ago, this place has been better than ever.

We came in for my bachelorette party in June 2020. They were packed! But they immediately jumped into high gear to accommodate us, set up a table for us... we had amazing service and food. They even threw in some free shots to help us celebrate! Such an awesome place and good people!

Our family had a little winter getaway in the lake front cabin, we couldn’t be happier with our stay.nnViews of the lake are spectacular. House is equipped with everything you need for your stay. Plenty of board games for kids for game night. Plenty of space to run around and rest.nnDrew always checked in on us asking if we needed anything extra.nSean at the restaurant was so pleasant and took great care of us.nnI can’t wait to be back here during the summer.nWould recommend to anyone for a 5 star getaway.nnLuxury to the fullest.

Went up Saturday night from CDA for Oktoberfest. Roads were clear with the snow recently plowed. Atmosphere was great with authentic Schuhplattler music and even Nagelbalken (hitting nails into what looked like freshly cut tree trunks after you drink). The menu was also fantastic with the pretzel, wurst, and beef dishes all really well made. I would rate this as one of the better Oktoberfests in the panhandle and they were gracious with us even after we destroyed one of their beer steins.nPlus you just can’t beat a location where light pollution is low enough for you to see every star in the night sky. Fantastic food and great, friendly service. A pretty cool place with a nice view of the lake.
