Carl's Tavern

One of the better places in Steamboat. The servers are incredible. The management (lily) is attentive and INCREDIBLY knowledgeable. I’ve been here seventy times and have never had anything close to a bad experience. This place is a model of how restaurants should be!

Despite the challenges of late, Carl's Tavern has maintained consistent food and drink choices. Bourbon selection is solid... and the food options are great. Well built burgers and they have an Adult Mac N Cheese option that blows me away. Definitely the place to go for an Old Fashioned... I would like to see more straight cuts of meat added to the menu and/or elk? Love this place...

Good service. Outdoor dining with last of the sunshine. Burger was good as well as good cocktail and beer/wine list. Prices are reasonable for a ski town.

Fantastic food! Everything I have tried has been excellent.....I just keep ordering the dry rub wings! I moved away from the Tampa Valley and craved them. I am glad to be back and glad they now have at least limited seating. Good riddance 2020!

We tried Carl's for the first time right as they started seating at 25% capacity due to the pandemic and it was great! We love their happy hour! You can't go wrong with any of the drinks or food choices they offer.
