Petco

We had shopped and compared prices and fish supplies at Petsmart and Petco. The only reason we decided to purchase and stay with Petco was because of James at the Morgan Hill, CA store. He helped us tremendously in starting our fish aquarium. Although it was immediately clear that he was knowledgeable about fish, he never talked down to us. His enthusiasm was contagious yet remained professional.

Everyone is super helpful, and the remodel looks wonderful. They do a good job helping as many people as they can and keeping the store maintained. Will be shopping there again. The cashier is always super nice (;

Before scheduling a grooming appointment given someone actually answers the phone, please ask any and all questions about their policies. Not all of their policies are easily accessible even for the General Manager Kayla (who didn’t know all of them). The groomer Amanda called us on the day of the scheduled appointment (that was booked two week’s prior) to come in earlier at 1 instead of the 4:45 because due to how “late” the appointment was she wouldn’t be able to provide a full bath and/or cut. She mentioned today was the first time she looked at the appointment and the time it was booked for. Today is a Monday, both my wife and I work, so it’s an impossible task to make last minute changes. My wife called back and talked to the Grooming Manager Amanda who never informed us of any specific instructions other than bringing in vaccination paperwork. With this being said my wife and I thought it be best to give our pup the proper dosage of Hemp Oil (sold at PETCO) specifically to calm him down. I arrived at 4:35 for the appointment and was informed of a policy that isn’t visible to the public or voluntarily given by the Manager of the department that they cannot provide grooming services if our pet had been given the hemp oil. Amanda, the groomer knew beforehand that this was a 4 month old puppy and our first time in for a grooming visit. Our appointment was then canceled. My wife asked to speak to the grooming manager Amanda, Amanda had absolutely nothing to say but to transfer the call to Kayla the General Manager of the store When speaking to Kayla she was unapologetic and defensive about the inconvenience. Please, please ask ANY and ALL questions if it’s your first time taking your pet for grooming services.

We get our pup trimmed and washed here everytime and Lilly does it perfect everytime
