Coast Gem USA Tropical Fish & Goldfish

I first want to say they have some amazingly beautiful goldfish! That being said, be ready to treat them or quarantine them when they arrive! They will have parasites! This is a must! I don’t think they quarantine their goldfish at all. So you must do it if you want to risk buying from them. They are not fast shippers and there will be a wait for them to get the fish shipped to CA and then to you. I bought four goldfish from them. All are still alive because I was ready to treat them upon arrival. No they do not respond to emails. So don’t expect a response. I did not try to call them for anything so I can’t comment on that.nnAs far as customer service. They did cancel an order for a fish not swimming well and I did get a refund. I had to email twice for the refund to get processed in a timely manner.

I was a bit reluctant to visit the store because of all the poor reviews. But their website had beautiful goldfish, and I knew the pair some females for my pond. So I took a 30-minute drive down to Chula Vista and it was definitely worth it. The best part is that they let you net your own fish. This way I was able to check the sex of the fish. Listen usually hates going with me to look at fish, but he loved this place.

I am rating 5 stars because once I was able to get in contact with Coast Gem USA, they were very helpful. My female bettas were delivered at the scheduled time and they're beautiful ❤ufe0f They were alert and active, even in the bag they were transported in. The negative reviews made me anxious but I honestly couldn't be happier with the outcome. They packaged my girls wonderfully and they are all equally beautiful. My advice is to give them a chance, just always make sure to give 5 business days before contacting them and I recommend calling over emailing. Hopefully this comment help!!☺ufe0f

Love this place. I come at lest once a week to hang out with the fish and the people that work there. This fish are really nice. I buy all my gold fish and betas from them. They have some really nice gold fish and betas in.nnPeople also have to release that most of there fish come over seas and they way things are right now it takes longer

BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!nTLDR: Was sent 1 sick fish and 1 wrong fish, was promised a refund & now the owner is MIA.nnAbout a year ago I purchased a Beta from this company it it was stunning. Took a little while to ship but when it shipped from CA to NY it was still healthy and happy. Great fins, Bright colors, looked just like the photo. I was so satisfied with our purchase, I bought two more this past December.nnThis time was not such a great experience.nWhile my credit card was charged the moment I placed the order, its took 2 days to receive any form of confirmation. About a week after that I get an email stating that the shipment was delayed 7 - 10 days. A week after that it finally shipped and both fish arrived within 48 hours.nnThe first thing I notice is one of the betas has blue tinted water and the other does not. (Usually these dyes are seen with bacterial or parasite treatments) The next thing I notice is the fish with the clear water is not what I ordered - similar but not the same fish. So I now have a sick with with shredded fins and an incorrect and disappointing fish.nnI reached out to the company to inform them and ask what should we do, they extremely quick to respond and offered me a refund. While I was extremely sad to now have to spend more money on treatments to heal this fish and did not receive what I wanted, I was grateful for the professionalism and customer service. To my disappointment - this never happened.nnIt has now been over two months. I have not received said refund. The company will not call or email me or my bank back. They've completely ghosted me without the compensation promised.nnI will never recommend anyone purchase from this company. Not worth the risk.
