I remember seeing one of Dr Borrero's Medical Assistants or Physician Assistants for stomach pain. Before I knew he was an MA, I answered his questions with, 'Yes,doctor,' but he never corrected me and continued to portray himself as a doctor (MD). I found out he was only a Medical Assistant when I saw his title on his white lab coat. To top this off, he really couldn't figure out my stomach issue. Instead he believed to be some kind of gluten diet issue and told one of the receptionists to look that up for me. The receptionist googled it and printed out a list of foods I can eat on a gluten-free diet. Wow! I could've done that myself and saved my money. Never coming back! By the way...it wasn't a gluten issue.

This clinic has been around for decades, I wanted to come here because many years back I used to come here, if you make an appointment later than 10 am you won’t find parking, and if you try to make an appointment they will give you one in like 2-3 months if you’re lucky, even “emergency” appointments, the doctor takes forever to go to the room after you have been checked in, the nurse was nice can’t remember her name, and the staff at the front, very nice ladies. But doctor Hortencia asked me questions that were not related to what i was trying to explain, interrupting me when I was explaining something like she’s hurrying you up to leave, I switched clinics after one visit.

Never going back!! I’ve been here twice and had to wait over an hour to be seen. 1st time I gave them the benefit of the doubt since I was a new patient and yes, perhaps the doctor did have a difficult day and did fall behind. His MA assured me that didn’t happen often. 2nd time, I went in for lab results and waited over an hour to be seen. No one checks on you to update you on the status of your wait time, instead, you are ignored for hours. When you finally go to the reception to ask how much longer to be seen, you are greeted with attitude and no one gives you an honest answer and they just keep saying “you are next”. The front desk staff is unpleasant and they don’t even acknowledge you when you are standing at the front desk to check in or ask a question. Seems like no one in this clinic cares your time; even when you have made it a point to arrive at least 10-15 minutes early. Parking is horrible. They only have a few “tiny” parking spaces and the street around it is a Main Street with no parking. I will be changing my care provider ASAP!

They tried to charge me a co-pay with my insurance that requires no co-pay. I didn’t have my debit card with me (because my insurance doesn’t require a co-pay and I wasn’t expecting to pay anything) and offered to return the next day to pay the $30 they requested. They told me no and said I can’t see the doctor. Over $30 I wasn’t even suppose to pay they refused to let me see the doctor.
