Community Hospital Long Beach

I have an extremely rare genetic illness that has landed me in many different hospitals, more times than I can count. My most recent experience at Community Hospital was one of the best I've ever had. Within 30 minutes of arriving at the emergency room, I was in a bed and seen by a nurse and a doctor. The doctor (I believe his name was Dr. Beck) was incredibly knowledgeable about my condition- which never happens! He knew exactly how to help me and didn't question me when I told him what I needed. My nurse, Stephany, was so sweet, helpful and attentive. One of the best nurses I've had. I was treated with respect and wonderful care during my 8 hour stay. It's such a shame that they are closing!

Very professional, VERY caring. Should be worth saving. This hospital is within walking distance of my apartment. Love the staff, Long Beach needs to do all it can to save this great place! Long Beach Community Hospital is a LB treasure!!!

This review is only for Security Officer Jeff A. He went above and beyond the call of duty when myself and my Mother were a bit distraught over something that happened. He was and is beyond caring and considerate and the hospital is very lucky to have such an individual working for them. I salute you Jeff A. and thank you so much from Shelley and her Mom.

Don’t ever go here. I was admitted to the psych ward here and felt I had wasted so much time. The staff was obviously miserable and did not want to be there just as bad as the patients. Service was horrible, I sat around the entire time being told absolutely nothing and being completely ignored. Your nurses should be aware that you are heard by patients and we do not appreciate you laughing at us or neglecting us. I figured Long Beach would have better service, but I thought way wrong. Before I even got up to the psych ward, I waited in the ER for hours. The nurses would ignore the patients’ needs and use their cell phones. Patients are completely mistreated here. Your staff and service sucks. I will never come here again. ud83dude21

I Absolutely Love this place!! they took care of me when I was sick with shortness of breath and everyone was wonderful.. I also came there with my mom after she had been in pain for months and they found out what was wrong with her they called her surgeon multiple times until he answered and got her bumped up to get her surgery done faster. they also took great care of my grandmother when she came in for the flu. absolutely love this place!! the waiting room might be a little long but its an ER so its expected.. love this place.
