We stopped here on our way through to Carlsbad. It was after 7pm, but the entire place was packed with people on the patio, and they were playing loud music. It looked like a fun environment. However, for some reason, they seated us alone inside at a table by the bathroom (there was a smell lingering also which wasn't very pleasant). We were the only table in there, which was strange. Our waitress kept forgetting us, and we had to ask several different people for drink refills and finally our check. Not to mention the staff was talking loudly, joking together, dancing around, gossiping, and yelling about something to one another. It seemed like we were privy to a private conversation just because we were the only table inside, which made it a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, the food was decent for the price. I got a grilled chicken dish, and my husband got enchiladas. They were both pretty good. Next time, if we are ever there, we will request a seat out on the patio instead, and see if the experience is a bit better. Overall, it was just okay.

I very much wanted to give the Adobe Restaurant five stars. Mrs. S and I visited the other day and enjoyed dining al fresco. Great menu, reasonable prices and a decent wine list are all here in Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. S loved her salmon and I enjoyed a pork chop. The pork chop was cooked unevenly. Half of it was dry and chalky, the other half tender, moist and flavorful. What happened? Our server seemed like she was newly-hired. Service was painfully slow and inattentive. Despite the poor service and the over-cooked pork chop half, we had a good time.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in all of New Mexico! It has been consistently great through out the pandemic and not many if any restaurant can say that. Price is reasonable and food is excellent! Service is superb! This place is a real no brainer if you love food and want a bit to eat. Kid friendly. Also has outdoor seating for those that want the fresh air. I think they also have a bar outside as well as in. You should definitely give this place a try!
