Wing Review only: Tried both of the wings they had during Cincinnati Wing Week, Everything Wings, and Asian BBQ Wings.nnFirst off, best fried wings I had all week. They keep the sauce on the side for take out, which allows the wings to arrive extra crispy at home. If you enjoy mustard the Everything Wings are for you, they were very good, although might have enjoyed more of the everything seasoning in them. I am a sucker for Asian flavors and their Asian BBQ were not disappointing at all. Their soy base was well balanced by other notes (some sweet, others savory). I would also enjoy slightly thicker sauces, but this sauce had a fantastic flavor.

Didn’t have that great of an experience on Monday. We were in having wine and apps and just did not feel welcome. Don’t get us wrong, our server was great and very attentive, and the food was delicious. That charcuterie board was amazing. However, the manager was less than welcoming and seemed irritated that we were even there. She made it a point to not only come out and tell us that they were closing, but stared at us through window while we were on the patio like she was forcing us to leave. She came out twice. She didn’t give the same to the other people on the patio or those inside. I think we left at 9:30 and we have never seen someone so visibly irritated that it looked like they just wanted to leave and we were holding her up. Even though there were other people in the dining room and the patio. It was ridiculous. We used to come in a while back and the old manager Cole was always welcoming. We did not have the same experience this time. Needless to say, with the management acting like that, we won’t be back. That’s sucks because the sever actually was really good. Fix your management and maybe we’ll consider coming back with our colleagues.

I attended a multi-course chefs dinner at overlook this month and was absolutely blown away. The food was incredible, the service attentive and the setting both refined and comfortable at the same time. I'm not sure what the quality is like compared to the cost on the typical menu but for the summer chef series there were multiple full courses with large servings of wine for every dish and the price was absurdly cheap. I'm very excited to be returning in the future

We just stopped by the Summit Hotel on a whim for Sunday supper and were pleasantly surprised to find the Overlook Kitchen & Bar up on the fourth floor. The bar features a long list of wines and very interesting crafted cocktails. I ordered the roasted salmon bowl which was delicious. My husband ordered the club sandwich which was very good also. Such a neat hotel with a gorgeous lobby. After our meal we explored the lobby area and discovered a large art gallery featuring two fabric artists and a painter. Our visit to the Summit Hotel and The Overlook Kitchen was an unexpected fun Sunday outing. We are going back when the weather warms up for drinks and music on the deck.
