F this hospital.
I literally just left there and never wish to go back. Dr.Z is the worst doctor I've ever encountered. Fractured spine and major bladder/kidney infection accompanied by a horrible headache and earache...he gave me tramadol. Stating that my goal there was pain control. First of my goal was to address the issues causing the pain I was not there just looking for pain meds, but was made out to be. Second there are non narcotic forms of pain relief he could have offered if he was worried about that. And it took me two hours just to get a Tylenol for my headache. When I asked for more relief I was just ignored. And there food tastes worse than any hospital or even a soup kitchen I imagine. Just a bad un-edible taste to it.nMona and Dr. Higden were awesome, physical therapy, food service and the rest of the staff were all pretty friendly and helpful, but Dr. Z not at all. I will definitely avoid this place until he retires.
They took very good care of me this time. I had a heart attack on Sunday probably within an hour of being picked up by the ambulance I was in the cath lab getting stents put in I had 100% blockage. However I was checked into the hospital maybe 2 1/2 months ago with blood pressure high and chest pain. They said they couldn't find anything wrong. One nurse even told me they weren't a hotel. ( I have a perfectly fine house I own and live in) Anyway not to ramble on my heart attack totally could have been avoided. It was obvious something was wrong I was there maybe 30 hours of which I probably slept 27 because I felt so bad and had no energy and was exhausted. Anyway thanks for saving my life but I wish I hadn't had to go through the heart attack
Suzanne Wagner PA-C was who seen me. I was there for leg she had said lungs a couple of times didn't even pay attention to what I was trying to explain to her. I was worried about a clot and she was not interested in anything I had to say. Didnt spend maybe 5 minutes tops. The 2nd nurse I had was wonderful explained a few things that she thought was helpful in making sure I prop my leg up. Wouldn't give you 2 cents for Doctor she was the rudest I have ever seen. I will start going to Evansville.
My mother was taken to their ER with a heart rate of 130+. 24 hours later it still hadn’t gotten below 115 - at one point she wasn’t given her medicine on time so the little progress that had been made was gone. The only goal seemed to be to get her below 100 and then discharge her without any answers. When my dad requested a transfer to another hospital they resisted by refusing to facilitate the move and by telling us we were “on our own” (also wouldn’t give us any of the medical records). He then requested a discharge. That’s when we drove her to Nashville’s St Thomas where within 6 hours her rate was below 100 and within 48 hrs we had xrays, blood work, an echo, an EP test, an ablation, the fluid around her heart expelled and were back home.
