Ordered takeout for brunch this weekend and needed gluten free because my wife has celiac disease. Whoever took my order said if it was marked on the menu it would be gluten free and safe from cross contamination. But something we ordered had gluten because my wife has been sick for two days. Food tasted good and the gluten free bread and breakfast pizza crust seemed too good to be gluten free but now I’m afraid that it wasn’t gluten free. ☹ufe0f Just be very careful if you eat here with food allergies and triple check with the staff before accepting anything.
I enjoyed the atmosphere, but also appreciated being tucked away in a corner where it felt like my party and I had a private setting. The service was acceptable. Our server was attentive, but not annoyingly so. The food was good overall. Everybody in our party agreed that their entree was delicious. We all also agreed that the calamari we got to share was a hard fried disappointment. The lemon aioli that accompanied it was really tasty, but the rest of that dish needs work.
Pretty awesome highway stop. Clean, spacious, and good food. Must be an incredible place for the locals to go for sports games: Love the several enormous TVs side-by-side across the entire bar's back wall. Don't let the slightly-dated exterior of this place give you second thoughts, the inside is very cool and fairly modern.
I like the vibe and the ambiance. I got the Forno pasta with salmon. It was really good I know it was the weekend and a little busy. I sat in front of the guys making pizza and I could still see a TV. The customer service was really good as well. Nice place to go alone or with someone.
**Late Review**I visited Forno at the of November 2020 and it was amazing! My table ordered the shrimp and mussels for apps and a pizza for the main dish. It was all delicious and I will be dining here again! My server was nice but not attentive and ultimately brought us food with gluten even though we clearly expressed no wanting dishes with gluten in it.
