Clean restaurant, food was average though fries were pretty good. I had the blackened chicken sandwich, it was super dry, minimal seasoning, no condiments offered. Other sandwiches at our table were better. Our appetizers actually came out AFTER our meals. We should have just sent them back, very little of those were eaten. Not sure if I would return.
Food was good and huge servings. Good prices, friendly staff. The only thing keeping this from a 5-star rating is the customers at the bar. They were saving spots for others who didn't arrive for almost 45 minutes. One of them spread her arms over both spots on either side of her as I walked by. I could tell they were regulars who all knew each other. I understand regulars unwinding on a Friday evening, but we could have done without all of the stares (they must have known we were from out of town). It was a little awkward.
One of my favorite places to eat at. I see it as a wing place but they have so many other options to get, along with great atmosphere. My brother and I love to eat here so if you are looking for a place to eat this is a great option.
We always enjoy our visits to Shade! Great customer service, wings are tasty with plenty of flavorful sauces to choose from and a wide selection of adult beverages! Plus, you can watch sports and play Keno!
This is the last time I’m ordering any food from Shade on State. I live 25 minutes outside of town and had driven back home before I realized that they had only gotten ONE thing correct in my order. AND this is not the first time this has happened. The last time I ordered, it took 3 times for them to get it right. Very disappointing.
