Red Newt Cellars Winery and Bistro

I enjoyed my cold winter day with the fireplace burning. The women who seated us, was friendly and full of answers, very attentive but not up my butt. I recommend the blue newt. My all time favorite. keep up the great work and stay strong during COVID shut down.

Great atmosphere. Pretty views.. wine and food was good. Due to COVID they have chosen not to do true wine tasting. (Only reason for the deduction of stars)But you can get half pours of wine and tadpoles which are about 2 glasses in a small bottle to share. It was a nice visit during a gloomy winter day.

Some of the best views on the street. Red Newt is set up on a hill off the main drag and their deck gives a view of the whole area for miles on a clear day. The Rieslings are a specialty here and taste wonderful. The meat and cheese plate is a little light on volume, but makes up for it with excellent selections. We went home with a couple bottles of their Niagara, and it was a nice spot to get an Iced Americano before hitting our next stop.

The lady who seated/waited on us was extremely rude. When we politely asked to be moved out of the sun she gave attitude and acted like it was unacceptable to ask even though there was only one other couple there. Her attitude continued as she took our orders. By the end of the tasting, no one was interested in purchasing anything extra due to the negative experience.

Really nice Rieslings. Great service and cool wine glasses. The deck is a perfect spot for a socially distanced tasting.
