Told me they had compost in stock so I drove in the snow to get it. When I got to the store they said it was frozen and wouldn’t even try to help me get it. Poor customer service

I will say country Max is top notch in NY:) I just think that the hamsters need to be in a little bit more of a big enclosure than a 10 gallon tank and they need to have if they’re a Syrian hamster a 10 to 12 inch wheel that’s not wired as wire wheels will cause bumble foot and the Robo‘s need at least a 7 to 9 inch wheel :) I do like the fact how they’re doing the hides really well the food the water bottles and the bedding I would just add a little bit more bedding and chew toys for enrichment in there to burrow with. If you are using the lab blocks for the hamsters I would continue to use the sunseed brand in the yellow bag I wouldn’t use Kaytee as it is very low quality I must say I am very impressed with country max and whenever I go there the workers are nice.:) >>>> for my tips here. Now moving onto these small animals now let’s talk hamster gerbils and mice vvv -vnI must say if you have a cage for them already that’s 450 in.² or over in the United States I have the prevue528 rn that’s 615 sq inches which is the minimum size that a hamster needs please keep it in that size cage a 200 qt bin cage or 40 gallon breeder or over or ikea detolf the crittertrail cages and kaytee cages any other small cage under 450 sq inches should be gone they are only good for travel they should be going off the market soon as they are not appropriate cages for hamsters gerbils or mice I would just eliminate the wire wheels from the inside of the enclosures as they can cause bumble foot to the hamsters and stay w a 9 to 12 inch wheel for the Syrians and the dwarfs a 7-9 inch, illuminate the pine and scented beddings like lavender and cedar shavings on shelves as it can cause respiratory infections for hamsters and stay with the Aspen bedding and colored beddings The only right food you will get at the pet stores in the US is the sun seed critter cubes the Sunburst by Higgins the vita garden and the Mazuri mouse and rat labblocks do not use power of five , kaytee or oxbow anymore as the ingredients and it’s low quality oxbow is also bad for hamsters w all that hay in it , snak shak products are dangerous salt licks are dangerous for hamsters cotton fluff is dangerous. Or any wheel 6.5 inch and under is dangerous. now if you get a hamster gerbil or mice from here it’s not a bad thing because the hamsters from here I know it’s bad they come from pet mills or wherever not sure where ones at country Max come from that’s but whatever you do don’t support the pet mills by coming to pet stores just go there and buy them if U don’t have a small animal shelter near you or your state just adopt them or buy them and give them the best place to call home now I do not support Pet Mills myself or anyone in my hamster group on fb as they are awful and no animals should be coming from there it’s better to just adopt them. I bought my previous three Syrian hamsters from Petsmart and I started off with some of the wrong care and some of my care was correct but the stuff I shared above that isn’t safe for hamsters please do not use it !! I ask kindly to please please DO your research before buying them I’m telling you. I hope they get good homes! And proper care:) I know when I go to this pet store how nice and good they are if you’re working at a pet store and you want to learn the new proper stuff they need to have and know look at this post it will help a lot.One more thing to suggest I would just add a little bit more chew toys to the enclosures that the animals are in right now that way they have some more enrichment.(: if need anymore advice new hamster owners gerbils or mice checkout Victoria raechel or munchies place on YouTube! And checkout are fb group Hamsters we have over 50 K people in the group I’m in for hamsters right now and it’s amazing. I do love country max animals and I think they are adorable each time I go in there

Love it here they always take really great and well care of their animals very friendly staff love seeing the animals every time I’m there I hate leaving them they are so cute and the food and bedding is so cheap here for the hamsters to!!! I just wish they started selling Sunburst food by Higgins:(!

Inconvenient customer service, denial of pet purchase request, dissapointed, too harsh & blunt guy working at the back desk. Also discurtious person?.
