Once Davita took over it changed and became all about the bottom line, not necessarily patient care, its about what works well for employees and business. I concur with what the other reviewer said. Not sure how this rating system works that they have 3.5 stars, but I guess there are other worse places out there, so by comparison they might not be bad. The whole system should be overhauled, techs shouldn't do the job of a nurse.

I think it’s a great facility

This center is now part of the DaVita Dialysis Center. It is a franchise. Unsafe, incompetent low level staff, and has a clueless administration( who basically dont want to know and naively prance about). while entrusting their patience to a poorly trained, hence abusive element especially to patients that complain. What permits such thuggery in addition to the previously stated facts are the logistics. The dialysis unit is concealed behind double enclosed unit doors. Family members have no accountability of their loved ones well being. Moreover, patients are subject to the egomaniacal mercy and whims of a staff that runs amuck . They possess the power of releasing you feeling energetic or weak and lifeless for the rest of the day or so. MANY patience have transferred out. The existing patients remain silent for fear of retaliation. Complaining is impossible as there is no privacy in the treatment room. The secretary to Management also works with the patiets! There have been a number of deaths not all due to this place but incomptence can complicate things. By now this Franchise should be a well oiled machine. Unfortunately they ,like many privately run ,quaisi healthcare facilities, focus on the money . To clarify, every patient has a value of approximately $1200 over their head per dialysis treatment. Keeping every bed full is their priority. No money is put back into properly working machinery. Doctors make their 2 min pass-by and bill a few hundred to the insurance company. Get the message? Word is getting around though. So much so that many a time they resort to filling theirnbeds with an indigent population ,just to keep the cash flowing. DIALYSIS was never meant to be a long term solution but it keeps many people alive to be with their families longer. If only the rocket scientist at DaVita would understand that when patients are treated professionally, with dignity, spoken to clearly and at a pace that is appropriate for them, beautiful things can happen. Having high functioning, non leaking, machines and a well trained mature staff will prove to be a win win all around. There is no charge for this session. Just please get a clue.
