Chez Lin & Rays Restaurant

We had such a great experience at Chez Lin & Rays. Very quaint, cozy, and warm atmosphere. Our waitress Diane was so pleasant and made us feel at home. The food was fantastic and reminds you of a nice home cooked meal - I honestly can’t say enough great things about our experience. The Turtle Cheesecake at the end was the highlight. If we’re ever around the Essex area again we will definitely be back.

I dined here solo this evening and I can honestly say it felt the opposite. Diane is the definition of a seasoned and professional server/bartender . She made me feel welcomed, she gave me space but also made me feel special and at home. The combination of small town fine dining and small town conversation created a memory I’ll never forget. The escargot has a different twist and full of garlic buttery love. Steak Au Poivre is a dish I rarely see and I always order it if it’s on the menu. It was prepared medium-rare perfectly and I loved every bite. Honestly the food was amazing but Diane was the star of the show. I sat at the bar (no tv and there shouldn’t be) but I never once looked at my phone and shared a lovely dinner with my gracious server/host/bartender Diane!!! Forever grateful for the experience I had this evening. Thank you Diane!!!!!

Such a gem of a place! Truly delicious, weekly menu, with fresh ingredients. Ordering for pick up is so convenient, and they happily prepare custom dishes for gluten-free, dairy-free, allium-free, upon request! Yay!

Great meal with wine. The view over Lake Champlain was lovely. Our server, Diane, was very nice and attentive. Highly recommend.

We have ordered take-out a few times in the past few weeks and the food has been consistently delicious. The shrimp scampi with linguini and the sea scallops with orzo have been huge favorites. Can't wait to eat their food again!
