Always a great experience at the Schoolhouse! Very friendly wait staff and compliments to the cook and owners for always doing such a great job and always going above and beyond! Great atmosphere! Would highly recommend to anyone traveling through Downsville to stop in!

Our first time to the Schoolhouse! Loved the woodwork and the taxidermy! Started with drinks and the calamari. Both were good. The calamari was lightly breaded and fresh. On to the dinner...prime rib was cooked to our specification . There was a hint of rosemary. Not really what we like but the meat was tender and flavorful. Forgot the salad bar...lots of choices and peel and eat shrimp. Dessert was a creme brulee cheesecake...yum! We will definitely be returning!

We went here two times while in town. On both occasions, it was great. Our first waitress, Shannon, was particularly fantastic: she had an awesome, cheerful energy about her.nnOur favorites were:nThe boule bread appetizer. All around fantastic, from the mozzarella melted on top to the pesto and marinara dipping sauces.nnTheir pastas. Particularly the shrimp and scallop pasta entree.nnBeer selection was also great, including numerous varieties of Ommegang brews.

We were a crowd of 17 motorcycle riders ,we stopped in for lunch we had reservations, the food is amazing,they're very generous with fries. All wooden panels inside, taxidermy all over the place. Excellent service, large outdoor eating area too, big parking lot. Reasonably pricenWent again in October, customers were at the bar without masks and no social distancing be careful

Amazing burgers. We take the family there for weekend afternoon lunches. Service is great, booze is great, prices are reasonable. For covid, they offer outdoor seating with umbrellas. A great time, with a great view.nnThe burgers are so good because they raise their own Longhorns!nnThe decor inside the restaurant is very cool - lots of giant taxidermy. Make sure you head downstairs to the restrooms for a big surprise!
