I have had pizza at taglio once before and it was very good. Last night not sure if it was an off-night, but I decided to build my own pizza. I called the gentleman to find out how the pricing went and what sizes and how many servings I needed.nI chose basic crust, sausage, ricotta cheese basic sauce and some veggies. For the amount they charge for toppings especially the veggies I counted exactly five leaves of spinach for $2. Same for mushrooms. ridiculous they are paper thin and you can barely find them on the pizza. I don't mind spicy but The sausage was so spicy it was difficult to get through it - the menu said nothing about spicy or hot sausage. While on the topic of the sausage it was extremely mealy and dry. It didn't even stay on the pizza-when you picked up the slice it all fell off--- no little clumps of sausage that one is normally used to. little fine pieces that were sprinkled on top. Very strange. I don't know if I'll ever be back but I certainly won't build my own it was a big disappointment. 21.00. overpriced especially the toppings.nI may try them again in the future because they are convenient to my home. Beware though.

If you don't mind terrible customer service and waiting almost an hour on two occasions for your food then the pizza isn't half bad. Was told a to-go order would be ready in 30 min. When I arrived had to wait another 30 min. I total of 1 hour to make a simple pizza. On a 2nd visit I waited 45 min for done in service and in both cases I didn't get an apology, a slight discount for the wait, or even an offer to get me a glass of water. I an not the only one in my circle who routinely receives terrible service at Taglio. I wont be returning.

Our go-to pizza during the pandemic has definitely been from Taglio, and I was surprised to find that I had never reviewed them before. Their pepperoni and hot honey pizza is outstanding! It combines tomato sauce, mozzarella, Parmigiano Reggiano, pepperoni, basil, and Mike’s hot honey. And for the full experience, you have to try their Detroit deep dish ($26). This is my personal favorite, though more often than not we go with the traditional crust and get a half pepperoni and hot honey and half spinach and ricotta (tomato sauce, ricotta, mozzarella, fresh spinach, garlic). These two pizzas are my favorite of theirs, but they also have some other great topping combinations.nnMy kids enjoy their cheese pizza, but again more often than not they like to order the uncooked dough ball and prepare their own dinner. They also have to-go pizza kits with all of their fixings to make a full pie. Oh and don’t forget the to-go cocktails, growlers, wines, and craft beer. Ordering from their website is so easy and includes all of these options plus creative salads and appetizers as well. Just typing this up had me dreaming of placing my next order with Taglio!
