Mar Belo Portuguese Restaurant/Lounge

After a camping trip for the weekend up in the Palomar Mountains, We decided to stop by on the way home for some fresh poke and some fried chicken. The fish is pretty fresh, and the fried chicken was delicious. I also see that they're renovating the place and expanding their shop. What used to be a order and go, you can now sit down and eat. Will stop by again and try out the rest of their food on the menu.

Ask for Jorge BEST server ever!!! won't regret it. He makes you feel at home and very nice guy. Had the best experience thanks to him will be coming back soon.

We must've gone on a bad night. We'd stopped in on a not so busy Tuesday as we were passing through. The flavors were tasty, but the cook was off. The porkchop was dry with a sauce that reminded me of apricot. The paelha, had a very tasty broth, but the seafood was rubbery. The service was excellent, so they did get some bonus points there. Ultimately, it wouldn't be so bad if they weren't charging 4 star prices. At $30 a plate the best thing on the plate shouldn't be the potatoes.

This beautiful & elegant place is awesome. The food is excellent as well as the customer service. I've been there a number of times, loved & enjoyed Mar Belo Portuguese Restaurant each & every time. If you haven't been there, please go cause this special Restaurant is absolutely amazing.

This is a great place. Was recommended by a friend & it didn't disappoint! The crab cake appy was excellent, the skirt steak was plump & juicy & the rack of lamb, absolutely perfect! The sangria was good too as were the prices (reasonable). I highly recommend Mar Belo!
