McDonagh’s Pub & Restaurant

I’ve been here many times and every time I regret it. The food is good but the service is always extremely slow.nWe went yesterday and were sat immediately. (We originally went to old glory but there was a 25 minute wait and I was starving so didn’t want to wait) we were sitting for at least 15 minutes. No one was around. Two tables that came in after us got their drinks. No idea where our server was or others for that matter. I thought once they gave the other tables their drinks they’d come to us but instead they disappeared. No one was around to even ask where our server was. We left. We’re never going back.

This place is top notch. All of the menu items are attention grabbing. To start, the table got a Bavarian pretzel to share, and it came with caramel, honey mustard, and beer cheese dips. It was enough for everyone to get a fair share and the dips complemented the warm flaky pretzel beautifully. I went with the short rib black pepper burger and boy did I make the right choice. The burger was cooked to mouth-watering perfection. The short rib topping gave it a not too sweet contrast that made for a tremendous pairing. The fries were crispy and fresh and lightly salted. Service was quick and the environment (especially in the Covid era) was quaint and clean. This friendly pub is worth another visit or two.

Our favorite pub! We love the casual atmosphere and it's the perfect place to spend a few hours at the bar. It doesn't hurt that the food is always very tasty as well

The service was shoddy at best. Our food came out in spurts. 2 meals, then 3 more, and the last one never came out. We had to send one of our party searching for the entree. By the time it came my son had already shared from the rest of us and didn't even eat half of it and they never came and spoke to us or tried to correct the situation.

Fantastic and delicious food, I like the character the place has, and the workers were very nice. I will definitely come back again.
