The Columns

The Columns had been closed since the COVID of last year. So sad , I really liked this restaurant, I hope they get to reopen.

One of our favorite shore hangouts from an afternoon lunch to cool off from a day at the beach, a dinner on the deck with friends, a late night snack of lobster bisque and peel and eat shrimp while listening to a live band or dancing the night away on the dance floor;The Columns has it all! Be prepared to see familiar faces behind the bar that remember your favorite drink. It’s a locals favorite spot that has now gotten out to the rest of the free world. The bands and DJ never disappoint and neither will The Columns.

Good food. Good prices. Excellent service. You can't make reservations. They will phone you when you're table is ready.nHowever, watch out for the loud music on weekends. Mixed crowds reflects the changing population in America.

We did not eat here, just rating it on its merits as a bar and music venue. This place is great! Clean, well run, fun atmosphere, right across from the beautiful beach of Avon. Bartenders try very hard to keep up with the demands of the crowd, but you might have to wait a few minutes for a drink. The bar closest to the bathrooms is CASH ONLY, it seemed to be a little less crowded.
