Exotic Aquatics

I'm so happy I found this store! I originally came in looking for some aquatic plants for my first planted tank and was blown away at the selection and knowledgeable, helpful staff. I was honestly expecting a few varities of plants before I came in, but loved that I had a lot of options for healthy plants. The staff were also able to answer all my questions about lighting options and plants that would thrive with the level of lighting I was going for. All their fish looked very happy and healthy, and after letting my tank cycle I got some fish from here. The staff was super helpful with my stocking questions, too, and all my fish made it home and are thriving. This is my go-to fish store from now on, and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for fish or aquatic plants.

What an amazing tropical fish store! After a long hiatus from the fish keeping world, we decided it was time to start back up. We ended up at Exotic Aquatics in washington after a quick google search, and can say we are thrilled we found you guys! They have some of the most unusual fish and the tanks seem very well kept. The owner was very personable and answered all of our questions. If you haven't been to this shop yet its a must see, and you wont leave disappointed. Thanks for everything, we will be back!

While I wasn't there for long, I did notice that the place was clean, tidy and well organized. The proprietor had the opportunity to make a rather expensive sale by taking advantage of my ignorance. Instead, he chose to be honest and helpful. I gave him a sale, but was nowhere near what he could have made. To say the least, I appreciate his honesty and helpfulness. If you are into fish keeping on just about any level, and you consider Washington NJ to be a reasonable drive, go here.

Really great local aquarium store. They have some really cool fish in there. The owner and workers there are always helpful and honest in their answers to any questions. Tanks and store are always clean.

I love this store! I’ve had a fresh water planted tank for 30 years. All their fish are very healthy and the tanks are spotless. Great selection of fish, plants, hard scape, and supplies. The owner of this store Knows fish.
