Zumiez

I am a mother of a former Zumiez Employee. My Daughter resigned yesterday, she felt underestimated and no support from her manager after a considerable amount of time working with Zumiez. That was her first and only job. She worked hard to become an assistant manager. When I said hard, I really mean that. She dedicated time and effort and time away from her young child to be underestimated. Promotion was given to another employee (male employee) that started working not too long ago and that did not work as hard as my daughter. He got promoted. She felt betrayed. I was so heartbroken to see her so dissatisfied, disappointed and disrespected. And I strongly believe it was gender discrimination. Not only because of that but I noticed a few things going on that made me believe that. I am very disappointed as well after knowing all of the hard work and time my daughter dedicated to Zumiez in all of those years she worked there. Mr. Joey, it wasn’t nice to disrespect and disregard my daughter the way you did. You knew how hard my daughter worked at the store and you just simply didn’t care.

Loved the workers there! They sell great stuff!

The workers are very good at showing their wares. The atmosphere is fun and I love their indie/retro styles. Shoes, long boards, even some snow gear.
