Salt Hill Pub - Newport

I love this place! I've met numerous friends here for drinks and food, listened to live music on weekends, and even gone by myself to just feel the vibe, throw back a boilermaker or two and grab some BBQ chicken nachos. I have to say, Salt Hill Newport hasn't even once disappointed me. Even in these times of COVID, the staff is just as friendly and attentive as ever, and they go above and beyond to make me feel welcome. If you're a regular, they even start to memorize your favorites, which means they really do care about what they're doing. In a word, FANTASTIC!

What a great place. Good food. Good prices. We did apps. Potato skins and the chickens wing. Wings were succulent and delicious. If you get them plain, ask them to cook a bit longer to crisp up the skin. ($5 off on Mondays). The dessert was over the top delicious. Fried Dough Sunday. Enough for 6 people! The rest of the menu looked great, with daily dinner specials. Check it out, you'll be happy you did.

We have tried fish and chips at quite a few places since moving up here 3 years ago. This was the best so far! And absolutely the best tartar sauce I have ever had! And the fries were outstanding. I can't wait to go back!

I enjoy the food. Sometimes a little salty but still delicious nonetheless less. Personally my favorite dish is the southwest egg rolls. (Steak with wild rice, with a little cheese and beans) They are spicy with just enough sweetness from the mayo-saracha dipping sauce.nnThe nachos are really good as well, you can defendly share or save and take home for left overs.nnThis isn't just for food but it's a friendly bar. I particularly do not drink but from what I've seen they get to you quick and try to make you happy with your order.

CR and Amanda are a great team. We love the closeness and small town feel. Best Reuben I've had!
