Portsmouth Regional Hospital

Went in for same day surgery hip replacement. Kate and Kristen were my same day nurses. Kate made sure she checked on my to make sure I was post op managing well. Also Kate gave me the best IV I have ever had in my life. Never felt so much as a stick..... Brenda, Lauren, and Diane were great in caring for me and exceeding my expectations for my care while I was there. Even my anesthesiologists tried to make sure I was as comfortable as possible for my procedure. They showed much compassion for me and my care and comfort. I am sure I did not get everyone included in this review but please know that your care and compassion for me did not go unnoticed and is very much appreciated. I was given a list with names so I would not forget but I keep thinking there is one person I have. I have never had this great of an experience in care and compassion for a surgery. It has not gone unnoticed or unrecognized . Thank You for all who cared for me while I was at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

Was very well taken care of my entire stay. Was transferred there after breaking my femur when I was kicked by a horse. Going into the ER was slightly overwhelming with the amount of people there but once I was transferred to my own room on surgical floor it was very nice and low key. Night staff were amazing and kind. I felt they went above and beyond in my attention and care. Overall for an emergency stay of 3 days the staff were wonderful.

I was so impressed by the hospital as soon as I entered the building with someone asking me if I needed help. I had a short wait in the lobby until a nurse came and walked me into the Imaging Center and brought me into a room where she prepped me for my CAT scan. She told me about what to expect during and after the procedure. Everything went smoothly and pretty quickly and I returned to my room and was treated with a delicious muffin and drink. When everything was complete the nurse walked me back to the front door. I give my whole experience an A+ and ud83cudf1fud83cudf1fud83cudf1fud83cudf1f

Recently had a repeat c section and everyone there were so nice and helpful. My delivery went way better then may previous one (which I did not have there) and would 100% have another delivery at Portsmouth! All the nurses, doctors, and lactation specialists were so nice and so supportive. Definitely recommend having babies there!

I went in for a meniscal repair on March 17 and was pretty nervous about it, the nurse that I had (Kate) was incredibly kind and walked me through absolutely everything. I felt much better after she had explained exactly what was happening and what was going to happen. All the staff that I dealt with while I was there from the front desk clerk to the nurses, anesthesiologist and surgeons were helpful, informative and very nice. I certainly didn’t think that going in for knee surgery would be a pleasant experience but that’s exactly what it was with how I was treated.
