Portsmouth Book & Bar

Great concept. It's like a library where you get to drink tea, coffee, or alcohol, and have some snacks. We stopped by just for a couple coffees, which were quite well done. The book selection was a bit underwhelming. A lot of the stuff was a bit too left-of-center for my taste, but most of the patrons seemed to be enjoying it. The staff was very helpful and service was fast.

Best of both worlds. Books and beer. The food selection is pretty small and mostly vegetarian a d the book selection. Is random. But to find a diamond in the rough and day drink it's the most beautiful place ever. I found books I didn't even know I needed!

The name says it all: located in acute town, It's a place full of books that serves great drinks. I sipped a delicious local beer while my lady sipped a lovely tea. We played chess and perused a book by our table while admiring the local artwork on the walls. They have a patio area outside where you can sit and plenty of seats inside as well. The tall ceilings whisper of a history long before beer and books where men and suits may have counted money or made business deals on this very floor.

Our first time there. Took a while for someone to take our order but we loved the place. We sat at the bar and it was like the bartender couldn't be bothered. A floor server noticed and took our order. She was wonderful.

Could anyone say a bad thing about this place?? Absolutely not. Whether you’re looking for a casual place to work, read or write or looking for a fun spot to drink and meet new, cool people... this is your spot. Amazing food and delicious drinks. Always a weekly go-to for me
