Good atmosphere average food.

Always a great experience. Food is consistently great, accompanied by an even better staff. In the heart of Portsmouth, you can't beat the location. Rarely do you find a spot that caters to lunch, dinner and your night out.nnHighly recommended!

I love the chowder and lobster rolls here and the service is friendly and polite. Except for a couple of times the lobster roll is always very tender (I hate a tough, chewy piece of lobster!!) and a great deal at $4.99. The seafood chowder is one of the very best I've ever had. Tons of seafood in it and a good variety as well with shrimp, haddock, lobster etc...

The service in the dining room bar has lost its luster. State St. is well past its sell by date. Half an hour wait to get a burger and a chicken finger plate with a virtually empty bar. They need to revamp it to the level it was 15 years ago when the service was fast and the food first class.

Just moved back to NH from Florida and have already been to SSS 4 times. I've tried different food on each visit and was very happy with every selection. You simply can't go wrong- great value! I highly recommend the seafood chowder; so far it is the best that I've had in the area and I've had quite a bit.
