Rudders Public House

This restaurant has great food and a fun atmosphere. It has adapted well with Covid. There is plenty of space and tables are really spread out. The drinks and food are really good! I recommend the pain killer and the burgers! The fries and special curry ketchup is great!

Stopped into Rudders Public House with some friends we all got different meals, everyone of us LOVED the food I personally had the burger and it was cooked perfectly and came with amazing fries...nDrinks were all great as well, great atmosphere and service was on point! Not a good experience - but partial credit for the food.nnI dined there on a Sunday evening looking for a bite to eat and a drink - the space was very nice and the drink selection good.nnThe problem was certainly the service - with about 8 people at the bar area and 2 bartenders the service was slow, the introductions and check ins few and far between. The staff was more interested in chatting with the group of 4 to my left, which likely were locals/friends (which is fine), and leaning back looking off giving a very unwelcomed feeling.nnAfter I got my first drink it took a good number of minutes after putting down the menu to get a food order in - and as I was eating and ready to purchase another drink I simply couldn't get anyone's attention. I closed my bill and promptly left.nnThe dumplings were good - and sized appropriately for an appetizer. Everything else about the atmosphere of the restaurant was not as palatable.

They make a decent burger and wings, but that's it. I just wish the rest of their food was good. The turkey sandwich was a few slabs of grey turkey. Not very appealing. I know it's just a pub but you can do better.

It's not a bad place, beers cheap but I think the food prices are too high for the portions and quality you get.
