When I first arrived at St. Elizabeth Ft. Thomas hospitals emergency room I didn’t have a good experience with the nurses, however the doctor was nice. I was admitted and my first night on the floor was not good I felt violated and I felt like I had no voice. My next encounter was with Melissa she is a wonderful nurse she listened, she cared and she is genuinely compassionate. And then there was Clarissa, she’s a nurse aide she was very kind compassionate and empathetic to my other encounters with the other CNA’s. After Melissa’s shift was over I had the pleasure of meeting Julie. Julie is also great, She genuinely cared about my being, my concerns and my fears..I was on the fourth floor with all three of these women, and if it wasn’t for them I would’ve literally left against medical advice. All I have to say is thank you Melissa, Clarissa, Julie and Dr. Banks for making my experience better after all I went through on my first night being admitted.

My appointment was in the University Health Center and it is tucked within the hospital campus. Valet was easy to find and get to. The building itself is old and tired - nothing like other hospitals in the area. It was clean just decor was outdated.

THE front desk is always helpful and kind. The techs come in the rooms quite quickly to check vitals and ask questions, and the doctor is always kind and explains what's going on and the treatment options she recommends.

I felt like my issues were brushed off and dismissed due to a single question. I left the hospital feeling neglected and still very Ill. I feel like the hospital needs educated on some things, including covid 19 and how it affects people even months later. I also feel they need a course on hospital etiquette and how to treat a patient. The emts made me feel very confident and safe, but the second I got to the hospital, it was the complete opposite. I will very gladly elaborate in a phone call if necessary.

Was at the cancer center and they were amazing but that wasn't the problem. It was after that when I took my mom over to get her chest xray I was told to sit out in the hot car while getting it done and that i couldn't at least sit in the waiting room. Keep in mind I am also sick with cancer and the heat makes me sick. This is why I prefer UC better. The women was rude about it as well. This hospital is a joke anyways.
