Green Mill Restaurant & Bar

Normally the green mills that are close to where we live are great. But the Green Mill in st cloud was horrible tonight. Our server didn't come to our table for about 20-30 min. And we didnt get our food until we had been there for about an hour and a half. We had to ask for bread after about a half hour after ordering and then 10 min after that had to ask him if he would bring out the salad. Never gave us a detailed bill so we can see how much he charged us for what. Green mill is normally amazing but our server just was not up to par. We normally tip at least 20% but our server didn't earn a tip tonight. Only second time in my life I have not tipped.

Great service and food. Quiet atmosphere that was nice for visiting even with masks on. Someone in our group brought our attention to the very worn and sticky part of our table top. But the next booth was just as bad so we didn't ask to be moved.

Food was mediocre at best. Used the love this place...not so much anymore. I'm rating it at the same level as Perkins. Seems like everything is microwaved.

We live in the Fargo, ND area(about 2.5hrs away) Our local Green Mill closed down a couple years ago and we have missed it. We were huge fans of their Desert Fire Pasta. Tonight on our way home from a trip to North Carolina we decided to stop in St. Cloud to enjoy one of our favorite meals - Desert Fire Pasta. But, unfortunately it is nowhere near what it used to be. I don't know if tonight was a fluke, but it cost us $100.00(Two orders of Desert Fire Pasta, One Order of Fettuccine Alfredo, two kids meals pasta and white sauce, and five drinks. Honestly we expected to spend around $100.00 for this meal. But - The desert fire pasta was not as it used to be. The portion was SO SMALL! I asked for extra shrimp, and good think I did, because I got a total of nine. My wife asked for extra mushrooms and that also seemed to not have made much difference. The pasta really had no spiciness and really lacked that creamy sauce that we remembered. The pasta sauce was watery, almost like the cook didn't drain the noodles enough. And unfortunately - it was the same for the other three pasta dishes my family ordered. If you don't drain the noodles correctly, it will water down the sauce, and impact the flavor. We also didn't receive any bread. We thought that maybe bread wasn't included anymore, but after we finished our meal, we looked at the menu again and it said it was. So that was a bummer. Our server was friendly though, so that was a plus. I left unsatisfied, still hungry, and disappointed tonight as we looked forward to this stop all day long.

Food was ok, but took quite awhile. Bread didn't come until 10 minutes after we had ordered. Kids pizza was burnt. My kids and my drink were empty at the same time, 7:23. We finally received refills at 7:34. The walleye dinner comes with fries and no options for mashed or baked potato, confusing for an establishment that attempts to offer fancier/finer meals. My meal was missing what was referred to as vegetables in the menu, when I asked about them, server came back with a small plate of uncooked broccoli. Was never asked about needing anything else she just brought the tab. I was going to ask for another beer but figured I'd just have to wait another 10 minutes. Would definitely not crave to return.
