TCF had already placed a completely unethical double hold on my account after I deposited my stimulus check. Why would you need to hold 2x the amount of a deposit? A hold on the amount of the check would make sense to figure out a question; the amount of the check times two, absolutely not. Then after being told the only way to fix it is for my husband to go to the branch to sign an affidavit, he goes to the Apple Valley branch. There they tell him they needed the form sent to them ahead of time and cannot help. This is after he shows the secure message stating what form it is to them. I call back TCF and am told that every branch has that form or can call and get it if needed so he should not have been told that. I am beyond frustrated with all of TCF right now. It is clear there is a lack of professionalism and customer care present at this location as well as with the company as a whole.

My normal branch was closed due to Covid. With trepidation I went to this bank to send an international wire. I had previously send 9 this year.from my normal branch. When this branch did the form they were missing things my bank usually adds. I asked multiple times if the account needed dashes or they needed the alphabetic swift code . They told me they knew what they were doing. It never went thru. I kept checking on it and asking if the swift code was needed. They told me they knew what they were doing multiple times. Normally takes 24-36 hours to go thru. This time never went. Went to my main branch after they re-opened and sure enough the alphabetic swift code I told them they needed was needed even though they had disparagingly told me it wasn't needed on 3 separate visits. Then the Prima Donna wire department that goofed up and should know a wire needs a swift code sent it without one and are too stuck up to actually talk to a customer concerned his wire didn't go thru. Now a month later I am still fighting to get the money back in my account. I don't recommend this branch for anything but a withdraw or a deposit. they can't handle anything else. and think they know what they are doing and certainly do not

The ladies who work here make it obvious that they don’t care about you or your experience at the bank. They speak rudely and make it seem like they hate you right off the bat. Bad customer service
