I have been going to the clinic since we moved here ten years ago. Dr. Peter Terry was fantastic. When Multicare was forced to sell out to North Memorial, everything went downhill. You could no longer call the office directly, I lost my monthly care coordinator and had it not been for Dr. Terry, we would have left a lot sooner. I put up with their nonsense for his sake, because he was that good of a doctor. . A few months ago, Dr. Terry left rather abruptly, leaving me to find a pain clinic ASAP, as I was told the medication I was on was too much for a family practice to manage. I was told they could cover a few months, but that was it, and they never once offered any suggestions on good pain clinics for people with chronic pain. The only information we got about Dr. Terry leaving was through a letter to my husband, not me, with recommendations as to who could take over his care. Only one was in the Blaine office, close to our house. I’ve tried a few dr’s at the clinic since Dr. Terry left (big mistake on the part of North Memorial for letting him go). The first was a cold fish, the second told me to get to the point because “my appointment time was almost over Mind you, I had spent the last 20 minutes going over my med lis with the nurse as she checked me in. It wasn’t a social visit. I got up to leave, saying I didn’t want to waste any more of her precious time, but she finally remembered she was a doctor and I had a reason for being there. She was given incorrect information regarding my appointment, and rather than verifying it with me at the start of the 5 minutes left in her schedule, she became rude, and was completely befuddled as to what I was talking about. By the time I got the appointment (their first available was at least a week after I called to schedule the appointment, most of the symptoms had gone away. She did run some bloodwork for my piece of mind, but that was pretty much the last straw for both me and my husband. We are currently looking for a new dr who is at least half as good as Dr. Terry was. When it was under the Multicare name, it was a fantastic practice. After merging with North Memorial, they have dropped precipitously on every level. I feel sorry for what is left of the staff, but not sorry enough to continue with the clinic. Hopefully we can find a new one before any other medical needs occur.

Since north memorial took over fridley medical and blaine clinics, service has suffered. Although doctors and nurses are great and attentive, the wait times when calling for an appointment or anything are totally unacceptable, usually at least 10 to 20 minute hold time, getting appointment is difficult, usually at least a 2 week or more. Obviously it has changed from a care facility to a for profit facility. Been going there over 20 years and husband over 40 years and sad to see it go this route.

I agree with the reviews that say this clinic has gone down the tubes since North Memorial has taken over. After a very bad experience in January I decided to leave this clinic which I should have done when North Memorial took over. As far as the patient representative calling back that never happened after I left a message. The recording said I’d get a call back in one business day. That never happened. The best advice I can give is avoid this clinic like the plague!

Since the name change to north memorial things have really gone down hill. There is no such thing as patient satisfaction. The docs, medical staff and front desk are still excellent but you can definitely tell it all corporate now. They lost my daughters shot records and she needed them to get a job. No one seemed to care. Fact is , they are gone. So, end of story. I would not recommend this clinic any longer.

Dr. Semakula a Endocrinologist is at this location. He is a great doctor. Listens well and really tries to find the reasons for your health problems!
