Very small locally owned grocery store. Decent selection of craft beer. The deli has grinders and pizza. Priced right when ordered fresh. As well as prepared cold cuts. As well as the best chicken salad sandwich on a crescent roll. It's literally the best thing I've ever had. Uncle Jim's meat market is in the same building and has world class jerky.
Went to order a pizza here a couple weeks ago and had a couple issues. They have a large chalkboard menu that had their pizza toppings on it, while ordering the guy taking my order interrupted me saying they don’t put salami on pizza, I mentioned it was on the menu and he just said “we don’t do that”. But whatever not the end of the world. Then while I was waiting for my food and walking around the place I spotted a large metal bowl on a drinking fountain in the aisle that was full of old grease with flys buzzing around it (at least I hope it was grease, could have been any gross brown liquid). So those two things alone made me not really wanting to go back. The pizza itself was whatever, I could have gotten a cheap frozen pizza that was just as good or better.
This spot is a gem. You will find tons of great things here you didn't expect. Great jerky, deli, and GET THE COOKIES! Wonderful selection and staff.
Never had anything but a nice experience here. Fast, friendly, great selections. GOOD GRINDERS!nQuickly becoming a lunchtime favorite!
