Always VERY late. Doctors are unfriendly. Don't follow up on what they say they will do. I will say that maternal fetal medicine were always friendly and helpful, but I rarely saw them.

This place has absolutely ruined the experience of my first pregnancy! Not only has it gotten so bad that I dread coming here for even the ultrasounds, but when I do come, I leave in tears. The front desk ladies are horrible. It took us 3 times for them to get our insurance entered correctly, while being rude and snide the entire time. As soon as you go back, the immediate feeling is that you are wasting their time. The delivery doctor I saw the first time was almost an hour late and made me feel like she was too busy to see me. When I asked questions, she didn't answer them and suggested talking to a different doctor. Then I had another appointment, was five minutes late after calling to let them know, and found out they canceled my appointment. It is very horrible to be here and I absolutely hate it here. So rude and so awful. I dread delivering here but since I am so far along, have no choice. It brings tears to my eyes.

I have gone to Henry Ford West Bloomfield since I was around 8 years old and never had an issue with service. In fact, I raved about how much I loved the hospital to friends. However, since becoming pregnant, my experience has been subpar. I am nearly 12 weeks pregnant, and today was the first time I've seen a doctor, my first visits was with a nurse. I was excited to speak with someone about pregnancy. However, my appointment was scheduled as a regular OGBYN appointment and not a prenatal appointment, so I saw the doctor for 10 minutes. I will add that the doctor was very friendly and professional, but didn't speak to me much about being pregnant. In fact, since being pregnant, no one has spoken with me about nutrition, medications to stay away from, or do's and don't's of pregnancy. Even though I have insurance and contacted HFWB as soon as I found out about being pregnant, all of the information I have has come from Google or the folder/website the nurse gave me in early October.nnAdditionally, I found out a prescription was written on 10/4/19, but no one notified me by phone or Mychart email. Also, I was written a script today and told the nurse that I wanted it filled at a particular location near my home, but she sent it to HF pharmacy on Farmington road. The mistake was inconvenient because I drove back home before I found out where the script was actually sent. After noticing I called the hospital and was told it would take 2 days to get the script sent to the correct location, so I have to drive back out to West Bloomfield tomorrow. I am very alarmed that this is the way the hospital treats pregnant women, especially those expecting their first child. Unfortunately, I have a Henry Ford select insurance plan, so I am stuck with the network until January! Once open enrollment comes, I will be switching insurance companies so that I can go to Beaumont. I am terrified to stay with this hospital for the rest of my pregnancy; the thought of trusting them with my delivery is even more disturbing. I am very disappointed that I will have to start over with a new doctor/hospital when I am 5 months pregnant. If you are thinking about HFWB for your prenatal care, I urge you to reconsider.

As a retired Nurse I will only trust Henry Ford Hospital Doctors. They have the best bed side manners. Once I had to wait due to the Dr. Surgical schedule, making him late. I would prefer to wait knowing he isn't rushing with the patient's life. Smiling is contagious at West Bloomfield. The Dr will answer all questions and make sure you understand. I moved over fifty miles away and still drive the distant.nI have had several acute surgeries, follow-up was great. HFH My chart is the best thing ever. I thank you as well as my family. I've worked many hospitals and I rate you number one
