I entered the hospital due to continuous vomiting late in pregnancy that wouldn’t resolve with medication. From start to finish I had not eaten, drank, or slept much for 8 days. 2 L&D nurses insisted it was covid. (Based on no lab results only the one vomiting symptom)The doc suggested I had hypermesis graviderum, wrote me scripts and was about to send me away before a light bulb must of went off and he tested my liver enzymes. Turns out I had preeclampsia/HELLP syndrome (and my rapid covid test was negative). The icing on top of this experience was that I realized 4 years earlier I presented to this same hospital with the same symptoms. Dr.Lang was out of the country and I never saw another provider face to face. The nurse i had was dismissive, and said these words:”why did you come here exposing moms and babies to the flu!?”. I was 41 weeks and ready to deliver in that scenario thankfully. But the intense continuous vomiting caused my baby’s position to change from head down to transverse and I required a cesarean when I otherwise wouldn’t have needed one. The staff at this hospital is incompetent. Once they missed that I likely had preeclampsia and almost did a second time. If you value your life/your baby’s life.. deliver in Saginaw. Don’t gamble on this place with your life.

A relative of mine was denied critical life threatening surgery at this hospital because she tested positive for Covid-19. She tested negative before being transported to this hospital and she stayed there weeks and likely caught it on the 4th floor which doesn't follow proper procedures. She was kicked out for this and was forced to go to another hospital. This could have had a serious impact on her health and could of lost her because of their decision to deny her surgery that she needed. She wasn't treated fairly while she was there. This placed doesn't care about the patients. It's not Baymed, it's Bay dead.

This place is dirty old and outdated. Also extremely slow wouldn't recommend coming here EVER!
