What a wonderful view, fresh air and sunshine plenty of comfortable outdoor seating. We missed the Two Guys in Plaid live entertainment Friday night they were just finishing up when we finished dinner, but will definitely try again. Food wasn't a disappointment but service needs help. It was obvious, but I did ask...our waiters first summer, definitely didn't get much training if any at all. The four of us ordered appetizers, 3 apps came with one dinner, followed within seriously a half a minute by the other three dinners and the last appetizer. We hadn't even begun our chowders yet we were waiting for spoons! I have a feeling our chowders were forgotten under a heat light, and dinners were ready at the same time chowders got delivered. Two of us had fish & chips - excellent with a crisp light batter and important to me, a really good tartar sauce. Salmon was delicious. Rib eye cooked perfectly. Our waiter never even asked if we were interested in dessert or coffee just brought the bill. Nice enough, and engaging young man but timing was way off. Will try it again for sure.
Went with my wife for breakfast, ordered the French toast, in my opinion it was undercooked, wasn't even warm.nThe waiter came over and asked me how my meal was I told him that it was undercooked and I didn't like it. I can't even ask for my money back just took the loss.nI was surprised when the waiter came back with my plate a few minutes later with my French toast still on the plate, he placed it down at the table and told me that he spoke with the chef in the chef said that it's not undercooked that's how they make it, then he proceeded to take a fork off of the table and cut into it showing me it's fine. I have never seen anything like that before that is so unprofessional, he proceeded to argue with me that it was fine and if I wanted them to reheat it they would. politely asked him to take the food away and stop arguing with me.nI still can't believe he brought the food back to the table!nUnprofessional on every level even someone who has zero knowledge on being a waiter should know that you don't bring back someone's food to the table that they sent away and proceed to argue with them that it's cooked and actually cut into it in front of them trying to prove their point.
We’ve driven by this place on several occasions. Being the dead of winter, I had low expectations. The atmosphere is a warm tavern golf feel. A propane fireplace was a warm welcome. They have a large selection of tap beers, which is always a plus to us. Decided to cheat as the menu is pub like (salads looked amazing though... but it was so cold outside). We had the Buffalo Mac and Cheese and the Reuben. Kiddo always had the standard chicken fingers and French fries. All the food was surprisingly great! The mac and cheese was a guilt ridden bowl of flavor. The chef likes his or her job.... I’d you’re in the area pop in and get a bite to eat. The server was new but super attentive. She was being shadowed by another server as well. We will be back. I can’t wait to have a beer on the patio this summer.. with my Mac and cheese
Great will wing's and ud83cudf7b with a very great longtime friend
Was the only place willing to take a reservation for a small 50th anniversary party. Jeff, the manager, was wonderfully flexible and willing to do whatever we needed to make sure we were taken care. He came out to greet us and said congrats to the blessed couple. Savannah, our waitress, was patient and kind and got all the crazy specific orders right for our party of 15!nGood food, beautiful view and atmosphere. Highly recommend!!!
