It's such a bummer because the food is so delicious but the wait time is excruciating.nTakes on average 45min for a meal to come out once we order everytime. We love the atmosphere but they really need to work on the kitchen

Wonderful! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, yummy food. My first time there and they made me feel like a part of the 'family'.
We have been going to the River Tap and Grill since it opened its renovated doors. I can't think of a single time we sat in the dining area or on the deck when we had good service. We tried again, Deck is open, and again, even though there were sufficient servers, and hardly any customers, we didn't have good service. We learned to only sit at the bar. we get good service at the bar. We will still come to support this local eating establishment, but really we don't have any expectations of good attentive service when we do. Food is always pretty good. Bar is always pretty good (love Dave, of course) but service, we have no expectations.
Sue and I are doing a HUGE happy dance here!! We cannot wait to have some of your delicious food again - been WAY too long. We miss everyone SO much and look forward to the day when this is all over and we can once again relish the company of the wonderful people that work at the Tap who make our dining experience even more enjoyable.nTil then - PLEASE stay safe, healthy and vigilant.
