The Pickled Wrinkle

We ordered ahead by calling. The staff was friendly on the phone. The food was ready when it was promised. The staff brought our food to our car and was pleasant. Finally, the food was good and the order was correct. We enjoyed some burgers and a pizza. We had sweet potatoes and tater tots as sides. The burgers were hand formed. Great experience!

This place is awesome. Great service and very friendly. The burgers are awesome. Definitely have to try the pizza too. And don’t forget the pretzels with Gouda. Make sure you get an extra Gouda and take home to put on your homemade chili cheese dogs.

Relaxed, almost beach-y kind of atmosphere. Very laid back. We were greeted promptly and picked whatever seating we wanted. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We ordered appetizers and beer. We had some local Maine IPAs, and they were both delicious. For food, we had the onion rings, and the haddock nuggets. The onion rings are very thin (don’t know how they do that) and very crunchy. They are served with a slightly spicy remoulade which I could have eaten with a spoon. We devoured these. The haddock nuggets were nicely fried but a little fishy tasting. We’ll definitely be back.nnVisited again in October 2020 - It was carry out only when we visited. There are covered picnic tables. They also have heaters but when the wind blows they aren’t much help. Ordering and receiving your order is a bit confusing. We had several parties. You order at one window and pick up at another or they deliver to you. It was different for each party in our group. Although we all ordered within minutes of each other, we ended up waiting a very long time for ours. In fact, everyone else was basically finished and heading next door for some very good ice cream. The steak and cheese pizza was tasty but it had these very large chunks of steak. It was the same with the steak sub. Not necessarily a bad thing just not what we expected. The chicken salad was pretty good as far as salad goes. The greens were fresh with plenty of blue cheese crumbles but the chicken was on the dry side. Good selection of beer. We would return if in the area.

Really good food, great location, since it is on the way to schooners point and winter harbor
