This is an experience of a lifetime! Our group of four had an AMAZING time! Our tour guide, Elizabeth was just the best! She put thought into the route we took to ensure our best chances of getting to experience everything! She was also knowledgeable & patient with newbies to night time ocean kayaking.

Just magical! We were looking for something unique to do, that Minnesota doesn't offer, while at Acadia NP. Thankfully, while other kayak companies had closed for the season, Castine Kayak Adventures was still up and running mid-October.nnWe were all set to be part of a morning kayak group. The weather called for 100% rain so they gave us the option for another group. We chose the bioluminescence night kayaking. So thankful they accommodated our switch in our trip.nnKaren is unbelievably knowledgable in all the scientific background of what makes these waters light up. Not only that, a scholar of the skies! We took some time to look up and admire the clear night sky and bask in the glowing stars. She pointed out numerous constellations and educate us on the myths and mysteries of each one.nnThis experience was like no other. The ecosystem that gives way to this fascinating phenomenon is truly a blessing to discover and be part of.nThank you Castine Kayak Adventures!

My family and I went on the Bioluminescence trip. John our guide was great. We were able to see so much Bioluminescence! My son would leave his hand in the water when I was paddling and it looked like sparks coming off his fingers!

Great tour, amazing experience, and we had a wonderful teacher. I was in a double kayak with my partner. We were both relatively new to kayaking, but our instructor was very patient and helped us feel safe and showed us ways to collaborate in the double kayak.

Our group went out with John and Ian and they were professional, patient, helpful, encouraging and funny. We did the evening tour and enjoyed it immensely. Would recommend it highly
