We had a very good visit. There are only 4 outside tables, and we were reluctant to do indoor dining yet. We each had a good tap beer in a secluded spot inside and ordered food, and an outside table opened up just as our meal was ready. My hamburger with BBQ was terrific and the side of sweet potato fries was, well, let's just say difficult for my wife to pry any away. The servers were excellent; just attentive enough without being pesky.nWe're not in Ottawa Illinois often, but we'd certainly return to J J's. One warning, they have a cash only policy...no credit cards. There is an ATM inside if needed.
This place was great. The staff/ owner were very nice and laid back. The bathrooms were extremely clean. People were more than 6ft apart. The prices were excellent. I'd definitely go back if I'm in Ottawa.
Due to current times (coivd) we found a local pub which offered outdoor dining. Temperature was 46° and a light wind bit not bad at all. Food ordered. Served hot, in paper trays. Overall a good experience. Definitely would go back again.
Amazing hometown bar and grille! The salad bar is back! Friendly, helpful staff in a great location, the heart of Historic Downtown Ottawa, Illinois.
Awesome food, great servers, bartenders, clean establishment.nnOnly reason it didn't get 5 stars was no pool table.....
