Place has very good food and usually very fast service. A time or two they have misplaced our order and gotten something wrong, but we go there so much this is a rare occurrence. Again, great food!
My wife and I have been here a few times and have always enjoyed the visit. The food and drinks are reasonably priced and both are of pretty good quality. Service is usually pretty good as well. The last visit was spring 2021 and not all staff had masks and it was pretty crowded for the covid era. That being said, it's a large place and tables are pretty well-spaced. This is an above-average mexican restaurant for the area, but is comparable with most restaurants in a town like Edwardsville. I definitely wouldn't turn it down on a Friday date night.
Ate here for the first time and it was delicious. I had the quesadilla El Indio and nachos, my mother had the quesadilla fajita. Everything was fresh, delicious, and prepared incredibly well. It was a crazy, busy night but they were fast and everyone was very polite.
Granted I'm of German and Irish decent, I probably have no room judging mexican cuisine but for the only restaurant in this wee ud83cudf40 town that offers a little variety outside the usuals and for miles no less, it's top notch! The food is delicious, service is impeccable, always clean. Very welcoming and inviting atmosphere! One thing this Irish girl can judge is a good drink and the jumbo margarita on the rocks is everything you need and more! They've legit cornered this small town market, if I had a third thumb to throw up, El indio would get it!! ud83dudc4dud83dudc4dud83dudc4dud83dudcafud83dudc4c
BEST mexican cuisine restaurant in all of the surrounding counties. Period!! These guys and gals know what they're doing when it comes to preparing, selling and serving authentic Mexican food. Primo!
