Prattville Baptist Hospital

My Mother has been in Baptist Hospital in Prattville Alabama many times the last 4 yrs. I have no idea why anyone would speak anything but Wondferful reports about Prattville Baptist Hospital. The Doctors, Nurses, Food. and everything else gets 5 STARS from Myself. My Son and my Daddy. God Bless Everyone Who Works at Baptist Hospital in Prattville Alabama!

I went into the ER very early morning Sunday 2/28/2021 with what turned out to be a burst appendix. After I signed in they took blood work, vitals and did tests and a scan, once they confirmed the diagnosis, they arranged ambulance tranportation to Baptist South Montgomery for surgery. I have heard so many bad reviews, I had to give mine, in my experience they were very helpful, caring and professional, I am so thankful for everything they did for me while with them. Thank you Baptist Prattville!

Don't take your dog THERE!Went to ER 4 different times with same problem and it hurry and get you out without fixing problem or sending you to a real hospital.nTo get to root of problem

It's a small community hospital the staff is very nice and the hospital is clean.

Unprofessional and uncaring. Was admitted midnight on New Year’s Eve. No beds available ( not their fault). I was placed on a gurney in the hall directly in front of the nurses desk where I remained for the 6, almost 7 hours I was there.nI proceeded to hear nurses talk bad about their patients, violate HIPAA policies and ignore patients both in the hall and in the room. I heard tons about their friends, their holidays, and their personal lives that they seemed very busy discussing with each other.nI was in a car accident, in tremendous pain from the impact, goose egg on my head ( headache), couldn’t put weight on my left leg, intense pain in both that left ankle and left knee. Immense hematoma and swelling on my left knee.The pain from my right side in my ribs was excruciating.nI literally lay there for the entire time in the same position because movement hurt so much. Other than initially checking me when I first came in, drawing blood, or taking me for “Scans”, not another soul approached me during that entire time. Nothing was ever offered to ease the pain. My headache was intense and it occurred to me there was no scan done on my head, so I asked a nurse walking by about it and about some pain medication. The dr came out and said they said you didn’t hit your head, and I said I have a goose egg on the back of my head, so she ordered a scan. She was abrupt and rude. Stop no pain meds. After the second bout of scans and lifting me onto the table, I cried the pain was so intense. After I was returned to my place in the hall, still in tears from the pain, I asked a nurse (again) going by if she would please get me something for the pain, to which she literally turned and hollers over the nurses desk “hey she wants some pain medication”, and walked on by. I have never been in such an uncaring and down right mean place.nAbout an hour before I was released, they finally gave me something for the pain. They also started taking my vitals then. (Shift change I guess?). The doctor came out and said nothing was broken they were releasing me. I requested copies of my scans on a disk and she told me no. (I had a car wreck 2 years ago and had damage to my right knee from the airbag under the dash and had to have surgery, the ER told me that everything was ok but to follow up with my dr And gave me a disk.)nAt this point, I cannot put any weight at all on my left leg, huge hematoma on my left knee, my ankle feels broken And I’m still having trouble breathing from the intense pain in my right ribs. Nothing was offered to help stabilize any of this. A gentleman ( Nurse, DR, orderly?) told whoever was taking my vitals to wrap my ankle and my knee and get me some crutches. The girl raced off and brought me a shoe with straps. The nurse came with my release papers and I said wait, they’re supposed to wrap my ankle and knee, she says it’s not on your release orders, I motioned toward the gentleman and said he said to. She looks up and glares at him goes over to him, whispering hatefully, and I hear him say “look at her. Look at the size of that hematoma. It needs to be done”nand the nurse says, hatefully, well why don’t you go get it then Terry!n“Terry” very calmly got up, came back with the wraps. She snatched my left leg up, sending shards of pain into my knee, and “Terry” gently took my leg to hold it while she snatched the wraps around it and my ankle.nI’ve never been in such an uncaring place in my lifenThe only people who showed any kindness were the guy who did my scans, “Terry” , and the sweet lady who wheeled me out.nIt was horrible, just horrible.nIf I could give zero stars I would.
